Voyageur: One of the great Canadian icons is that of the Voyageur, those hardy free spirits who opened the Canadian hinterland. Our longest and biggest cargo canoe pays homage to those who made the red sash and toque famous with their feats of strength and endurance. The Voyageur measures 18-feet long, has a square stern and a reinforced bottom that can handle a payload weighing up to 1700 lbs! This special order canoe is designed primarily for today’s outfitters who have to get to their resort into the remote backcountry in a time efficient and comfortable manner, yet want to retain much of the traditions of the past. We can provide the custom made canoe, but will rely on the helmsman to sing the traditional folk songs of the voyageur.
